Engineering / Math
The Fulton Summer Academy at ASU is offering an opportunity to raising 11th and 12th graders who are interested in engineering and technology programs. During each camp, students will explore undergraduate engineering and technology programs offered at the Fulton Schools and gain a deeper understanding of the engineering profession and career opportunities by meeting faculty and current students. It’s an ideal way for them to see how they can take on some of the greatest challenges facing our society and make a world of difference. The Joaquin Bustoz Math-Science Honors Program (JBMSHP) at Arizona State University is now accepting applications for the 2024 FREE summer program (6/2 - 7/12). The JBMSHP is intended for mature and motivated students who are interested in academic careers requiring mathematics, science, or engineering-based coursework and who are typically underrepresented in those fields of study. Pratt Institute summer 2021 PreCollege Intensive Program provides students with an opportunity to build their art and design skills, create a portfolio of their work, and explore possibilities for study and employment in creative fields. Classes are modeled after Pratt’s undergraduate curriculum, taught by experienced faculty and alumni in order to provide students with a rich and immersive educational experience. The application-only program equips students with elective college credits accepted at Pratt and most other colleges and universities.

ANYTOWN is a nationally recognized, award winning leadership and social justice program for youth ages 14-19 at Mingus Mountain Camp in Prescott, AZ, June 11th - 17th. Anytown brings together a diverse group of students from high schools across the region for a weeklong residential experience. Through interactive workshops, discussions and games delegates explore topics like prejudice, discrimination, and bias. Delegates create a model for an ideal community based on respect, understanding, and inclusivity, in which members not just tolerate, but celebrate each other’s differences. Teens who experience Anytown Leadership Camp leave the program equipped with the tools to increase their ability to foster inclusion and respect among all members of society. ASU RISE Summer Leadership Institute is a free leadership and college readiness program for rising Black/African American high school sophomores, juniors and seniors that are accepted. RISE celebrates and continues the legacy of Black and African American Sun Devils of Arizona State University. The institute provides tools to help students cultivate their leadership abilities as they continue serving at their schools and in the community. Students will also receive resources that will help them navigate the college going process, while gaining insight from Black alumni, staff, students and community members. ASU is an inclusive community that is welcoming to all people of different backgrounds and is proud to offer this institute as we continue our outreach efforts, partners and commitment to Arizona’s Black community.

The Young Diplomats program is offering an opportunity to Arizona high school students to hone the knowledge and skills they'll need to succeed and lead in a globally-interconnected world.
Over the course of a five-day summer bootcamp in June 2023, student participants will explore the fundamental principles and key applications of diplomacy, globally-minded civic responsibility, and pathways to careers in international relations. They will hear and learn from a variety of global subject matter experts throughout the week, and participate in interactive activities to gain skills in research, cross cultural communication, leadership, and more!

The 2024 Health Careers Institute for High School Students is a free educational opportunity for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to explore a variety of health professions. Abrazo West Trauma Medical Center is offering a Summer Student Ambassador program kicking off this June of 2023. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to give volunteer service, but also be exposed to different medical professions, lunch & learns, and interactive workshops. The FBI Phoenix division and Phoenix Chapter FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association invite all interested Arizona high school juniors and seniors to apply to the FBI Phoenix Teen Academy. Classes will be held virtually every Thursday starting June 17, 2021 to July 8, 2021, from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. The FBI Teen Academy provides an opportunity for high school students to catch a behind-the-scenes look at the FBI. Upon completion of the course, students will foster a greater understanding of the FBI’s mission and how we serve our citizens, community, and nation.
