Deciding between dual and AP can be a big decision for some students. We encourage students to think about what type of learner they are and what are their post secondary plans. Each course whether dual or AP, is challenging. You have a chance to earn college credit and show colleges that you can be successful in a rigorous course.

Dual Enrollment Information: Dual enrollment is rapidly gaining interest among students in Arizona. As we know, students who take dual enrollment courses are twice as likely to go to college, earn higher GPAs, and complete their degrees, according to research by Helios Education Foundation.

AP Exam Information

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Boulder Creek High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students
college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

For the 2027 AP exams, students at Boulder Creek High School will be registering online. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. Registering for your AP Exams is a two-step process:

Step 1: Begin the process by registering at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/030581
Here you will indicate both the AP courses you are taking this year and the exams you wish to take. If you have approved testing accommodations via an IEP or 504
plan, mark the applicable box. Any exam fees will be paid online so be sure to have a debit card or credit card available before beginning registration.

Step 2 (Should be completed in the classroom): Use the join codes provided in your classroom to enroll in the student's AP courses. Then enroll in the AP exams by switching the decision under “Order Exam?” to “YES”.
This year each AP exam costs $105.00. (There is no longer a discount for taking multiple AP exams) AP Seminar and AP Research exams are $150.00 Online Exam registration will open on Monday, August 3rd, 2026 at 6:30 AM and end
on Monday, Nov 9th, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
The majority of AP exams this year will be digital, so be sure to come to test day with your fully charged Chromebook that was issued to you by the school.

Here are the important dates for the registration process:
• Monday, August 3rd, 2026 at 6:30 AM - Registration Begins
• Monday, Nov 9th, 2026 at 11:59 PM - Registration Ends
• No LATE Registrations will be accepted
• Saturday, Nov 14th , 2026 - Registrations that have not been paid for will be
cancelled and exams will not be ordered.
• Saturday, Nov 14th , 2026 - Last day to cancel an exam and receive a full refund.

Boulder Creek High School offers courses for students which can earn them college credits along with high school credits if they choose to pay tuition to Rio Salado Community College. These courses give the students a great convenience of fulfilling their graduation requirements while at the same time earning post-secondary credits and/or placement.
