About the Teacher:

Hi. My name is Mr. LeBlanc and I earned my BA at Rutgers University in New Jersey. I've held several jobs throughout my life and earned my Teaching Certificate from Ottawa U. I went to work in the Dysart School District for six years and decided to change schools and districts to one closer to home. Thus I am now a Jag. I am a parent 3 times over

I have a 23-year old daughter and 15-year old twins. Lucas is into soccer while Mika loves gymnastics. I also am a grandfather--twice over.

I am married and have 3 dogs and one fish.

I love reading and writing so expect a lot of both. I am available to help out so please let me know if you need anything from me. I answer emails promptly too.

On that note, I look forward to meeting each of you soon. Oh--names--I am bad so please forgive me if it takes me a week or two or three to know yours. Remember I have 180 plus new students and you only have one English teacher.

Also, I am the JV Men Soccer's head coach and assistant coach for Varsity Men's Soccer. If you (or a friend who does not have me as a teacher) play soccer, please let me know.

Hi/Holla All,

This year 2024-2025, I will be teaching English Learners at BCHS. We will learn how to read, comprehend and speak English better. You, in turn, will help me learn a few words in your native language. I bet you will learn English faster than I will learn your native language, but I will try. And that is all I expect from my students--effort. It will be a fun year too and we will learn a lot.

Please go to CANVAS for more information, assignments, syllabus...CANVAS is where the majority of the work will be assigned and turned in. There will be announcements too.

**I am planning on using CANVAS most of the time this year. Please being in your District-supplied iPad. It is necessary. CANVAS will also have current lessons, assignments, calendars, contacts...Some work will still be paper so please bring in pens, pencils and papers.** Cell phones will not be needed.

I have already placed a few announcements on CANVAS about me and school.
